QtyHome makes free calculators that answer one question before you head to the store: how much do I need to buy?
Concrete, mulch, gravel, paint, pavers, flooring. Most home and yard projects start with a measuring tape and end with a guess at the checkout. Buy too little and you lose a weekend making a second trip. Buy too much and the extra bags sit in the garage. Our goal is to make that number quick to find and easy to trust.
Who we build for
QtyHome is built for homeowners, renters and weekend DIYers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. That is why every calculator works in both imperial units (feet, inches, pounds) and metric units (metres, centimetres, kilograms), and why we use the bag sizes you actually see on store shelves in those countries.
How our calculators work
- The formula is on the page. Every result shows the maths behind it, so you can check it yourself.
- Numbers come from sources you can verify. Bag yields and coverage rates come from manufacturer data sheets and other published references, and we link to them.
- We round the way a shopper should. Bag counts are always rounded up, and you can set your own allowance for waste.
- We keep pages up to date. When a product or a standard changes, we update the calculator and the date on the page.

What we are not
We are not contractors, engineers or a store. Our results are estimates for planning and shopping. For structural work, permits or anything that must meet a building code, check with your local building department or a qualified professional. Our terms and disclaimer explain this in more detail.
QtyHome is independent. We are not affiliated with any of the brands we mention, and no company pays to be included in a calculator or recommended on the site.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free to use. To cover running costs, QtyHome may show advertising. Ads never change a calculator result, and we keep them clearly separate from our content. You can read how ads and cookies work in our privacy policy.
